"I feel hungry." Trudell is provincial champ

The build up continues as Jayden Trudell beat Conor Friday Sunday afternoon to become provincial champion in the 71k division. "Don't feel anything coz the job's not done." Trudell said.

Already a Canadian champ in the 67k division, the 19-year old moved up a level in his pursuit of qualifying for the Olympics. "If I want to shoot for the Olympics I have to would have had to go down to 140 (lbs) or move up to 156." said Trudell.

Sunday's bout was a unanimous decision. The work now begins for the national qualifiers in December which would set Trudell up for his shot at the Olympic next year.

"I'm feeling really good. Really sharp. More powerful of course with that weight." Trudell said. "Even with that weight we added, still worked on my speed and I'm faster than ever. Stronger. My cardio is up of course and just all the experience from last provincials and nationals it's really doing me good."
