Carter Charity Basketball Game Raises $2,000 for SickKids
The gym at Cardinal Carter Catholic Secondary School had a little extra energy last week and it was all for a good cause. The school’s senior boys basketball team faced off against a newly formed team of Carter alumni in a charity game, with the current squad coming away with a 62–56 win. More importantly, the event raised $2,000 for SickKids Canada , supporting care and research at Toronto’s The Hospital for Sick Children. Students and staff packed the gym to watch game game

St. Anne Wins WECSSAA AAA Boys Final in Thrilling 4OT Classic
The WECSSAA AAA Boys hockey final delivered an instant classic on Thursday in Lakeshore, as St. Anne outlasted Villanova 3–2 in a dramatic fourth overtime showdown. After battling through three scoreless extra frames, the game went from 5-on-5, to 4-on 4 to 3-on-3 for two periods and it was St. Anne who finally ended the marathon. Matthew Gomes took a pass in the slot and deposited the game-winning one-timer deep into the 4th overtime to secure the championship and punch St.

Assumption Holds Off L’Essor’s Late Surge to Reach Semis
The Assumption gym was loud and proud as the Purple Raiders advance to the WECSSAA sr. boys AA semi-finals, but it wasn't easy. The Purple Raiders watched an 18-point lead evaporate into a slim one-point margin late in the game. OFSAA Swimming Championships Return to Windsor with Exciting New Changes
There's a buzz in the pool as the OFSAA Swimming Championships make their anticipated return to the city for the first time since 2023. This year's event, scheduled for March 3-4 at the Aquatics Centre, brings an exciting change for senior swimmers. "We finally got approval for the changes we'd been trying to make before COVID," Parent told Powerplay Sports. Nolan Bryans: Riverside's Quad-Threat Dominating His Final Season
Nolan Bryans is making his final high school season count, showcasing an incredible all-around game for Riverside. He recently notched a triple-double with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 steals in a win over St. Joe's, following a quadruple-double in January at the Massey Invitational. Double and triple-doubles are typically achieved when a player accumulates at least a combination of 10 points, assists and/or rebounds. Bryans has been consistent in steals, which is a rarity.

The Tecumseh Saints basketball program sponsored the high school sr. girls all-star game Monday night at St. Anne. Guest coaches were Bethany Wachna from Windsor Police and Kim Maroun from Windsor Fire and Rescue. Team Fire got off to a hot start leading 20-8 at the half.
