Frankie Fields 'stuck a dart' on her way to a SWOSSA golf title
It wasn't Frankie Fields' prettiest round but she'll take it anyway.
The Lajeunesse senior won the high school division at the SWOSSA girls golf championship at Willow Ridge. She shot a 90 on a windy day that made it tough on the whole field.

"I didn't play too well at SWOSSA with a tough first hole," Fields told PowerplayWindsor.com. "I wasn't in my groove till about the ninth hole but then I stuck a dart 6 feet from the hole."
It's her first school golf win, and it came in her final year.
"I was very excited to finally get a win in school golf," she said.
Fields didn't celebrate alone. L'Essor's Madelaine Beck won the open division, which is for golfers who play the big Golf Ontario tournaments. Haylee Crawley of Chatham's Ursuline College finished second to Beck. All three played on the Unico Primo Junior Golf Tour this past summer.
"It was also super nice to get a win with Maddie since she is one of my best friends and we are on the same performance team out of school," Fields said.
Fields came into SWOSSA playing well. She had just finished second with a 76 at Twin Lakes in the IMG qualifier for the Top 50 Tour in Michigan.
Not bad for someone who didn't pick up a club until Grade 9. She heard the announcement for tryouts at school and decided to give it a shot.
"I didn't even have clubs so my dad had to go buy me a ladies beginner set," she explained.
She broke 50 on the front nine at WECSSAA that year, in what was pretty much her first time playing, and qualified for SWOSSA. After that, her dad got her a coach.
"My dad has pushed me to become a better golfer and I am beyond grateful," Fields said.
She made OFSAA in Grade 10, which was close to home so her family could watch. Last year she finished third at WECSSAA and second in the high school division at SWOSSA, which earned her another OFSAA spot.
Now she's headed back for one more, and she'll have company.
"It feels very good to be able to go back to OFSAA for my final year especially with all my friends that qualified as well," she said.
Fields plays mostly out of Essex Golf & Country Club. Growing up, she also played travel softball, volleyball, hockey, badminton and tennis, so it was tough to find time for golf. She admits she wishes she'd started earlier.
Judging by the last four years, she's made up for lost time.
