Former Windsor Spitfires forward Matthew Maggio has signed with the KHL's Salavat Yulaev. The 23-year old was selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders and played three-plus seasons with the Bridgeport Islanders of the American Hockey League.

Fifth-year lineman Melyk George is back after missing the 2025 season with a meniscus injury, and by all accounts, he's picked up right where he left off.
