‘A special night for our organization’: Flyers go pink Thursday in Leamington

Get ready to break out your pink.

Pink in the Rink returns Thursday, Oct. 29, when the Leamington Flyers host the Milton Menace at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre. Puck drop is at 7:10 p.m.

The Leamington tradition returns as the Flyers trade in their usual colours for pink jerseys to raise awareness and show support for everyone affected by breast cancer.

“Pink in the Rink is a special night for our organization,” said Flyers general manager and head coach Dale Mitchell in a team release. “We’re proud to continue this tradition and bring our community together in support of such an important cause.”

You can bid to take one of the limited-edition jersey's home with you with the proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Foundation. The Flyers will post auction details on their social media after the game.

The Flyers want to see the stands full of pink, to honour those who have battled breast cancer, celebrate survivors and remember loved ones lost to the disease.

Tickets are available online at leamingtonflyers.com/tickets or at the door on game night.

The Flyers are 4th in the West Conference at 13-2-0-1, 27 points while 2nd place Milton is 13-30-1.
