Tecumseh Vista's Tournament Run Ends in Quarterfinals
Belleville — Tecumseh Vista carried Thursday's momentum straight into Friday, dismantling Aurora High School 7-1 before rolling over Bayside Secondary 8-0 to close pool play on a high note.
Against Aurora, Julia Upcott and Maria Vizirakis each scored twice to lead the charge against Aurora. The Vortex then put on a show against Bayside, with Vizirakis potting four goals and Stefana Ferraro adding three.
The run came to an end in the quarterfinals, however, as Denis Morris High School handed TVA a 6-1 defeat. Vizirakis finished the tournament with nine goals, one of the standout individual performances among all Windsor-Essex athletes at this year's OFSAA.

Holy Names Bows Out on Tiebreaker Despite Strong Finish
GRIMSBY — The Holy Names Knights closed out OFSAA AAA pool play in style, blanking St. Mary's College 6-0 to finish 2-1-1, but it wasn't enough to advance. The Knights tied Fr. Leo J. Austin CSS in the standings, with both teams posting identical 2-1-1 records. Each team had a goal differential of six goals but Fr. Leo earned the tiebreaker based max goals per game left the Knights with plus-4 and Fr. Leo at plus-5 as they moved on to face undefeated Pool A leader St. Martin CSS in the quarterfinals where they lost 2-0.
Lajeunesse Finishes 1-3 After Tough Friday
NORWOOD — After Wednesday's dominant 5-0 win over ESC Algonquin, Lajeunesse couldn't keep the momentum going, dropping both Friday games to finish the tournament 1-3. Julia Farhat, Shukuru Neema and Alexa Chauvin each found the net across the two matches for Les Royals.
L'Essor Closes Pool Play With 1-2-1 Record
MILTON — Gradi Kaleba provided the offensive spark for L'Essor Friday, scoring in the opening game against Kings Christian College, but Les Aigles couldn't sustain the momentum, finishing pool play at 1-2-1 and falling short of the playoff round.
Villanova's Tournament Ends in Quarterfinals After Strong Pool Play
KITCHENER — Villanova capped a strong pool play run Friday, doubling up St. Mary's College 2-0 and edging Resurrection CSS 4-2 to set up a quarterfinal date with Holy Trinity. The Wildcats fell 3-1 in the quarters to close out their tournament.
Isabelle Sakalo was the standout performer for Villanova all week, finishing with four goals across the tournament after opening with the lone goal in Thursday's loss to Havergal College.
The WECSSAA boys All Star game is Monday at the University of Windsor at 7pm. The girls are scheduled to play their All Star game at St. Clair College at 4pm.
