Belle River baseball wins

Belle River captured the championship with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Tecumseh Vista on Thursday.

After six scoreless innings, Tyler Hale broke the deadlock in the top of the seventh with a two-out RBI single, scoring Dane Morris. Hale later stole second on a passed ball before Alex Bially delivered a bloop single to bring him home and extend the lead to 2-0.

Vista answered with a run in the bottom of the seventh, but Belle River closed the door to secure the championship title.
