First loss of the season

In the opening game of the Final 4 Villanova didn't look like the baseball team that was 17-0 coming in. Uncharacteristic errors and a red-hot pitcher led Toronto's Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School to a 5-1 win. "You kinda hafta tip your cap to that sometimes," Said Villanova manager Tom Beale. "His misses were all around the plate and he was in attack mode so he never really got behind in the count."

Lewis helps Wildcats rebound

Villanova didn't have much time for think about the loss. They quickly moved over to Labatt Park in London for the bronze medal game. Will Lewis took the mound and unleashed the team's frustration all over Niagara's AN Myer in a 5-0 shutout. "He was lights out." Said Beale.

Lewis threw a complete game and struck out five batters. "It's nice to see the character to come back from a tough loss. Very happy with the way it ended. Overall, an incredible experience."

The Wildcats finished the season 18-1.
