Can-Am final set

The Tecumseh Thunder will host the Windsor Stars Wednesday night at Lacasse Park for the Can Am championship. The Thunder beat the Windsor Selects 6-2 Tuesday night to advance.

Eric Cunningham set the tone early with a first inning solo homerun.

Micah Harris threw a 4-hit complete game while Brendan Renaud went

3-3 at the plate and made two diving catches in the outfield.

The Windsor Stars earned the right to host the final after beating the Thunder 4-1 Monday but the game will be played in Tecumseh because of booking conflicts at Mic Mac Park.

aboutus

Powerplay Windsor was born during a trip to Italy in the summer of 2018. Walking through a charming pedestrian underpass sparked a memory—being in the tunnel at the University of Michigan early in my career. That brought me to the upcoming season that was going to be overlooked due to cuts to legacy media.

I launched Powerplay Sports as a passion project and to continue showcasing local athletes and our vibrant sports community.

Our video channel brings you highlights, interviews and behind the scenes access. We are courtside, rinkside and on the field capturing moments that matter.
