Catching up with Adam Rajsigl

Tecumseh's Adam Rajsigl earned his second Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Player Of The Month in December. He also earned the accolade in September. Rajsigl plays for the Swan Valley Stampeders in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League where he has six goals and 20 assists in 36 games.

The 19-year old has had quite a hockey journey the last few years. The former L'Essor student has played in Chatham for the Cyclones, split a season in New Liskeard and Kirkland, played two seasons for the Lumberjacks in Hearst before moving to Manitoba.

Adam dished out three assists in his last game Saturday night as Swan Valley beat Neepawa. He took a moment to give us a glimpse into his experience in Manitoba.

In his words: So far my experience in Manitoba has been awesome. A little bit of a culture shock to be around such a agriculture based community and such a small town 1/4 of the size of Tecumseh. The town of Swan river is a great hockey community and are very supportive of the stampeders which makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I do miss a couple things from home like maybe having more then 2-3 fast food options to choose from or not always having my family around is a thing I don’t think I’ll ever get used to. So far this season is going well a couple ups and downs but as of the last few weeks we’re starting to heat up and solidify a spot in the standings. Being named player of the month for September and December was sweet. To get recognition for something like that is always a great feeling.
