Hawryluk wins at home

Mathew Hawryluk took full advantage of the home course at Maple City in Chatham to win event #6 on the Jamieson Golf Tour Monday. The Wayne State golfer shot a four-under-68 with five birdies to move into a first place tie in the overall standings with Aiden Webster who finished second with a 73.

With tour leader Tyler Hurtubise missing from the field Jax Sisson of Pointe West rose above and fired an even par 72 for the win. He edged out Max Gavric of Essex by one shot. Sisson jumped from third to second in the overall standings and sits a half point behind Hurtubise.

In the jr. girls division Pointe West's Kyla Charlebois won her 4th event of the summer win a one stroke victory over Kingsville's Emily Young. Charlebois used a strong back nine including a birdie on 12 for the win. She now has an eight and a half point lead over Vanessa Ardovini for the top spot.
