Lakeshore back on even ground

After falling into an 0-2 deficit in their best-of-seven Stobbs Division semi-final against Wheatley the Lakeshore Canadiens have clawed their way back. They scored a pair of goals in each period of game 4 and skated away with a 6-1 win against the Sharks in Wheatley Sunday to tie the series at two apiece.

"We dug ourselves a hole." said Canadiens head coach Anthony Iaquinta. "Made it challenging. We're happy to be back at even ground. Now it's a best of three. We got our work cut out for us."

Iaquinta feels his team lacked intensity early in the series but has responded to the adversity. "It was a bit of a wake up call and we also figured out you can't take shortcuts, especially this time of the year so the tougher you can be to play against the better the outcome should be."

The Candiens scored the game's first six goals, all by different players. Eric Bisson and Spencer Higginbottom in the first. Bryce Scarlett and Marco Sladoje in the second. Tyler Hamlin and Brandon Leblanc in the third. Shannon Olson scored in the back half of the third to deny Nicholas Bolton the shutout. He made 31 saves for Lakeshore who host game 5 Tuesday night.

"We have to make sure we are taking care of ourselves making sure we're working our hardest. Obviously they're going to come out hard as well so it should be a good one."
