Lajeunesse brings home medal from OFSAA

In the boys A tournament, Lajeunesse had a good showing The Royals beat St. Paul 1-0 to win the bronze medal. Fabien Ramadhani netted the game winner.

A girls soccer, Lajeunesse won two games and tied two games at OFSAA in Welland, Ontario finishing at the top of the pool with eight points. The Royals made it to the quarter-finals before bowing out. A successfull season for a young team with promise.

In AA boys competition, Catholic Central made it to the bronze medal game but lost 3-2 in penalty kicks.

The L’Essor girls split their opening matches, dropping the first 2-0 but bouncing back with a 2-0 win, placing them third in their pool. They made it to the playoff round but lost 4-0 to Holy Trinity who went on to win the gold medal.

Meanwhile, in AAA boys play, St. Anne also split their opening games, losing a tight 1-0 contest to St. Maximilian Kolbe before dominating Superior Heights 4-0. They qualified for the playoff round but lost in the quarter-finals to St. Martin Catholic Secondary 3-1

AAA girls in Oakville, Holy Names won three games and tied the other to finish at the top of their pool. Villanova finished 2-0-2 and at the top of their group as both teams advance to the quarter-finals. The Knights lost 2-0 to Michael Power/St. Joseph while Villanova dropped a 2-1 decision to the Pickering Trojans.
