Rombouts and Mingay overall champs on Unico Primo Jr. Golf Tour

Kassandra Rombouts closed the season the way she started it — on top. Rombouts fired a 72 at Kingsville Golf Club to win the tour finale outright, finishing three shots clear of runner-up Ella Harris (76) and four ahead of third-place Maggie Miller (77). Olivia Tartaro rounded out the top four with a 78.

The finale result also locked up the overall junior girls points title for Rombouts, who finishes the season atop the standings with 119.0 points — capping a dominant year that saw her win five events outright and share a sixth title with Madelaine Beck at Ambassador.

Beck, who sat out Thursday's finale, still finished the season runner-up with 116.0 points on the strength of a strong six-event slate — winning twice outright, finishing runner-up twice, and sharing the win with Rombouts at Ambassador. Tartaro was third overall at 109.0, with Madeline Young (106.5) and Harris (106.0) rounding out the top five; Haylee Crawley tied Harris for fifth at 106.0 points.

A strong final-round showing from Rombouts — closing with the low round of the day in the junior girls field — put an exclamation point on a season in which she won six of the tour's events, either outright or in a tie.

On the boys side, Henrik Mingay went out on top. Mingay carded a 70 to win Thursday's tour finale at Kingsville Golf Club, edging Lake Lalande (also 70) on countback and finishing a stroke clear of a three-way tie for third between Jackson Pracey, Jett Seng, and Kevin Thompson, all at 71.

The finale capped a strong season for Mingay, who finishes atop the overall boys standings with 477.0 points. Pracey was runner-up in the season-long race at 459.0, with Noah Turner (450.5), Baylor Martinello (449.0), and Justin Shaw (448.5) rounding out the top five.

Across nine events on the season, Mingay won twice outright and shared two other titles, including a tie with Turner at Rochester Place earlier this month.
