Tray Maddox and Calvin Blaydes defend with intensity but as you can see by the picture below, they have different styles. Blaydes stares down his opponents with intensity. "I always felt like the best way to fight through adversity is looking it face to face," Blaydes said. "It shows your opponent that you are not afraid."

He does try to mix it up to throw his opponents off by switching up his tendencies. "Never let them know your next move."

Maddox, on the other hand, says he splits his focus between the ball and the hips of the opposing player. "I used to play football (defensive back) and that's something our coach used to always say and preach your man can't go nowhere without their hips," Maddox explained to Powerplay Sports. "Stare at their hips. They literally can't go anywhere unless they have their hip intact with them. I just had a carry over from my football to basketball."

Maddox scored 22 points while Blaydes pitched in 17 off the bench as the Express evened off their season record at 2-2 with a 117-97 win over KW Friday night. Latin Davis led all scorers with 29. Windsor heads into Sunday's 2pm matinee vs the Glass City Wranglers.

"Now we get a game on Sunday that can potentially put us over .500," Maddox said. "End the year on a high note. More wins than losses is always better and letting that energy that we have from the last couple of games carry over into the new year is big."
