Will Lewis locks it down: Conference Pitcher of the Year

Will Lewis is the 2026 Illinois Skyway Conference Pitcher of the Year. "Any time you get recognized it feels good but in my mind it’s all just extra stuff. My job is to help the team win, the award is just recognition that I did my part." Lewis told Powerplay Sports.

"When your team hits 97 home runs and leads the region in almost every offensive statistical category it allows me as a pitcher to breathe easy."

The 21-year old Villanova grad attends Morton College where he went 8-2 with 71k's with an ERA of 3.74 this past season.

He's been focusing on getting up early in counts and putting pressure on hitters to make bad swings. Lewis is playing for the Tecumseh Thunder 22U team this summer starting May 27th at Lacasse Park in the new Detroit collegiate summer league.
