Flyers looking for 2nd sweep

The Leamington Flyers head into Saturday night's game against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres looking for their second sweep of the OJHL playoffs. They beat the Niagara Falls Canucks 4-0 in the first round and have a commanding 3-0 over Buffalo in round two.

"We just gotta stay humble," Head coach Dale Mitchell told Powerplay Sports. "Stay with it. We've had different guys stepping up in different games. We know it's not going to be easy going up there and win."

After getting beat up 6-1 Tuesday at home and trailing 2-0 in game three Thursday in Leamington, the Jr. Sabres showed some fight coming back to tie the game in the second. After falling behind 4-2, Buffalo made another push cutting the deficit to one in the third.

The Flyers were able to limit chances and shut down the game to finally take the game 5-2 with an open netter.

"It's stuff like this that builds adversity in playoffs." Mitchell noted.

"There a good team over there," said captain Adrian Bosev who scored a pair of goals in game 3. "Just gotta keep the foot on the gas, clean it up and go from there."

The winner of this series will advance to the West Conference final and either Milton or 2-time defending league champ Collingwood. Heading into Friday night, the Menace lead the series 2-1.
