Holy Names beats Herman

Herman suffered their second straight setback to start the season in a 24-2 loss to Holy Names Thursday night. Who can remember the last time Herman started the season 0-2? We can't. Neither can head coach Harry Lumley. "No I don't think we ever were. Not while I've been coaching anyway."

Dan Hogan, head coach of the Knights, is thankful his team won but isn't about to get overly excited. "We didn't get a trophy tonight so this win is just a win. We gotta get back it Monday and get better." said head coach Dan Hogan. "We can't throw the ball. We have to be able to throw the ball. We're very fortunate we have a great offensive line. We can run the ball."

Noah Hand has been a work horse during the first two games scoring four touchdowns. "Noah does a great job but we gotta loosen up the box and get some people out of the box and be able to throw the football."

Holy Names hosts Kennedy October 5th at 5:30.

Herman looks to use their two losses as motivation when they return to the gridiron October 13th at Essex. Lumley says his team is going to use the time wisely. "We gotta get settled in. Get over some things. It's early in the season." Lumley said. "We'll be ok."
