Lajeunesse too hot to handle

Geoff Parent's team ran away with the SWOSSA championship beating Chatham's John McGregor handily 68-29. "We are playing pretty well," Parent said. "That's 11 or 12 (consecutive wins) for us so we have been rolling."

Lajeunesse shot the lights out in the first half and led by 25 points at the half. "We started off well. It was good we got everyone involved." said Jacy Zhang who led all scorers with 22 points. He is excited to play in his first OFSAA tournament.  "Very excited. It's my first time with my own team to go to something super big and have fun." Zhang said.

Les Royals beat Maranatha 86-45 to win the WECSSAA A title Sundayand OSSA championship game against visiting Chatham John McGregor. "The unfortunate side of that (winning) is we haven't faced too much adversity going into OFSAA but I'm proud of the way we're playing. That's what you want at this time of the year."

Lajeunesse will travel to Welland for OFSAA beginning March 4th and knows his team will have a bullseye on their backs as defending champs. "I know there's teams that want us this year and are coming for us so it'll be a tough one. I'm sure it's going to be a lot more difficult than it was last year that's for sure."
