The Guelph Storm visit the WFCU Centre for game one on their best-of-seven first round series against the Windsor Spitfires having won two of their last twelve games. "Can't really take anyone easy." said Spits forward Jack Nesbitt. "We just have to come out, do our thing and play our game."

According to head coach Greg Walters, the Spits should be getting healthier with the expected return of AJ Spellacy and Nathan Villeneuve. "We had four of our top six guys out battling for the division championship. We were able to go 7-1-1 down the stretch to accomplish one of our goals and now we're on to the next one."
Captain Liam Greentree feels the team is found their game down the stretch as Windsor clinched the second seed in the Western Conference. "Once we get some guys back I think we're going to be a really tough team to beat and I'm really excited to see what we can do here."
The coaching staff did a good job of mixing lines up during the season to minimize the impact of lost games due to injury. "100%. I think that's something that we always had to deal with is injuries and guys missing from our lineup and I think we've done well with it." Greentree said. "Walters and the coaching staff have done a really good job with keeping guys accountable and making sure even when we have guys out we're playing our best hockey.
