CFL hits up Jared Hayes-Williams

The phone dings while he's walking to his car after a night of intramural basketball at St. Clair College. It was an email from the CFL. Jared Hayes-Williams was shocked. So was his friend. "I was just stunned to see the CFL emailing my phone." said the stand out wide receiver for the Saints football team.
Jared is one of five CJFL players that'll make their way to Waterloo for the CFL Invitational Combine March 3rd.
"I was excited to see that. It's cool to know they see I'm pretty talented at football."
A mainstay playmaker for the Saints, Jared caught the ball 33 times for 617 yards and six touchdowns last season earning First-Team All-Canadian honours as St. Clair won the OFC Championship.
"It's a tremendous opportunity for Jared to show himself off at the national stage." said Saints head coach Mike Lachance.
"I'm not draft eligible this year." said Hayes-Williams. "I'm eligible next year because I haven't played University football yet."
He is not sure where he will play next season but Hayes-Williams says OUA schools outside of the area have shown an interest.
"Jared is as dominant as any player that has played for me in the past 20 years," said Lachance, "if given the chance I know he will continue to shine when the lights are brightest."
